To formalize and sustain voluntary commitments and service of the Civil Society Organizations, DSWD Field Office Caraga through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps Caraga) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Surigao State College of Technology (SSCT)-Mainit Campus, last March 29 via Zoom.

SSCT has been forging partnership with 4Ps Caraga since 2021, and actively providing voluntary services in some areas of the municipality — specifically the 4Ps parent groups of Brgy. Tapi-an and Tolingon.

RD Jamen and RPC/DC Celeste show the signed Memorandum of Understanding between DSWD Caraga and SSCT-Mainit Campus.

These services and activities are extended to nearby communities with the aim to sustain development particularly on improving the well-being of the community people. Further, these also aims at raising living standards and improving education, health and equal opportunities.

All the reflected activities in the Mutually Agreed Plan (MAP) were conducted. Last July 2021, series of lectures on Environmental Sanitation, Values Restoration Sharing, Time and Money Management, and Responsible Parenthood were facilitated through the engagement of both parties. Thus, SSCT-Mainit Campus seeks to expand the engagement to other barangays in the municipality.

To provide meaningful and significant contributions in the program implementation of 4Ps Caraga, OIC-Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen, and SSCT President Gregorio Z. Gamboa Jr. headed the said virtual MOU signing. Alongside OIC-RD Jamen is 4Ps Caraga’s Regional Program Coordinator/Division Chief Crislea D. Celeste.###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
