In its continuous effort to promote inclusive development and provide economic opportunities to marginalized sectors, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan โ€“ Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) program, successfully conducted a Cash-for-Work (CFW) payout for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the municipalities of Esperanza and Trento, Agusan del Sur.|

The initiative benefited 1,000 PWDs who participated in community work activities over a period of 10 days. In recognition of their contributionsโ€”and as part of the programโ€™s livelihood and social protection componentsโ€”the beneficiaries collectively received a total payout of Php 4,150,000.

The CFW program is designed to provide temporary employment to individuals and groups from vulnerable sectors, enabling them to earn income while engaging in meaningful work that benefits their communities.

KALAHI-CIDSS remains steadfast in upholding the principles of community-driven development (CDD), ensuring that all sectorsโ€”especially Persons with Disabilitiesโ€”are actively included, heard, and empowered to participate in shaping development initiatives that directly impact their lives and communities.
