A smile that reflects the joy of being rewarded for his hard work.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga successfully conducted the final leg of payouts for Project LAWA at BINHI partner beneficiaries in the municipalities of Malimono, Surigao del Norte, and Loreto, Agusan del Sur, on June 28, 2025.

 

A total of 650 partner beneficiaries received their compensation of Php7,700 each. Of this number, 299 beneficiaries were from the barangays of Waloe and Sta. Teresa in Loreto, Agusan del Sur, while 350 beneficiaries came from the barangays of Tinago, Cayawan, and Cantapoy in Malimono, Surigao del Norte.

Payout distribution to 650 partner-beneficiaries.

With the completion of this final payout, Project LAWA at BINHI has now served a total of 7,000 partner beneficiaries across the region.

 

Project LAWA at BINHI (Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished) aims to address the pressing issues of water and food insecurity in disaster-prone communities.

 

DSWD Field Office Caraga remains committed to supporting its partner beneficiaries beyond the payout phase and will continue to provide technical assistance and follow-through support to ensure the sustainability of community projects.
