The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Butuan City District Engineering Office convened at an initial pre-construction meeting on July 22, 2025, for the planned Sectoral Training Center of DSWD Caraga.
In line with Secretary Rex Gatchalian’s directive to boost and enhance DSWD programs and services anchored on the Department’s core values of Maagap, Mapagkalinga, Matapat, at Mahusay (4Ms), DSWD Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga attended the meeting, emphasizing the significance of the facility in strengthening the agency’s capacity to deliver responsive and people-centered programs. Also present were DPWH Regional Office XIII Assistant Regional Director Engr. Atila S. Barre and Engr. Ansarodin Condar, Project Engineer of the Butuan City District Engineering Office.
DPWH officials expressed full support for the project and committed to addressing technical concerns early in the process to ensure a smooth construction timeline. Both agencies affirmed their commitment to the collaborative implementation of the project.
The Sectoral Training Center is part of DSWD Caraga’s efforts to improve its infrastructure and expand services, in line with the President’s Bagong Pilipinas vision where services are delivered timely, compassionately, honestly, and efficiently.
