Four Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in Bislig City are now reaping the benefits of the livelihood projects granted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, following a successful turnover ceremony last July 17, 2025.
A total of ₱2.4 million worth of livelihood assistance was turned over during the event, which was highlighted by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The occasion was graced by Congressman Alexander Pimentel, Bislig City Mayor Florencio Garay, Governor’s Office Representative Jun Sayawan, barangay officials, SLPA members, and SLP staff.
Among the recipients were the Madasigon San Fernando SLPA and San Antonio United ERPAT SLPA, which each received a consumer goods store. Meanwhile, the Matatag Sibaroy SLPA and Labisma SLPA were provided with three units of tricycles to support their livelihood operations.
This initiative is part of DSWD’s continuing commitment to empower communities and enhance economic opportunities through sustainable means.
