Undersecretary for the Peace and Development Group (PDG), Alan Tanjusay, called on all Peace Builders to instensify the implementation of programs related to peace and development during the 2025 Mid-Year Assessment and Enhancement Workshop on Peace and Development Programs held in General Luna, Siargao Island.
“Let us strengthen the program implementation related to peace and development. Let us also revisit and enhanced the CSAC (Children in Situations of Armed Conflict) initiatives by supporting the beneficiaries kung paano ma enhance at mabigyan ng actual na programa ang mga batang apektado ng giyera”, urged Tanjusay.
The Undersecretary further outlined key directives for all participants, including Mainstreaming peace education; Formulating a three-year peace and development roadmap; and Promoting transparent and open communication.
He also commended the efforts of DSWD Field Offices in pushing forward the government’s peace and development agenda, praising their dedication and presence on the ground.
“God fearing, humble and wise ay ilan lamang sa mga katangian ng isang Peace and Development Worker . Why? Because you are gong out of yourselves, you are extending yourselves, hindi lamang yan ginawa mo para sa sarili mo, sa kapamilya mo, ginagawa mo ang ginagawa mo ngayon dahil sa kapwa natin Pilipino na nakaranas ng giyera, nakaranas ng violence at hindi basta-bata ang trabaho ninyo. Let us recognized the significant achievement of these peace builder in supporting the government peace and development agenda”, he added.
Prior the directives, the PDBBM-National Program Management Office led the breakout sessions to all participants by giving guidance for pilot and non-pilot Regional Program Management Office (RPMO). Topics includes are Functionality assessment, CY 2025 implementation, Appsheet Utilzation, Case Management and Organization Structure.
These sessions served as critical platforms for aligning regional strategies and guiding the way forward in advancing sustainable peace and development efforts across the country.
