The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), formally turned over Php1,650,000.00 worth of livelihood projects to three SLP Associations in Bayabas, Surigao del Sur on August 28, 2025 in Bayabas, Surigao del Sur.
The event started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the project sites of the associations, attended by key local officials, community leaders, and SLP staff, highlighting the strong collaboration between DSWD and the local government.
The following associations received livelihood assistance:
-Panaosawon Farmers SLP Association- Php450,000.00 grant for community gardening and a chariot service, aimed at improving food security and enhancing market access.
–La Paz Nun SLP Association -Php600,000.00 grant for BAO-BAO rental services, with three units already provided to kickstart operations.
–Panaosawon Empowered SLP Association -Php600,000.00 grant for agri-farm supplies and trading, complemented by a chariot service to support distribution and mobility.
