The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga distributed Family Food Packs (FFPs) to 39 Friends Rescued on August 6, 2025, at the Naliyagan Center in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
The distribution was held in support of the 401st Unite ‘N Fight Brigade’s continuing peace and reintegration initiatives in the province, particularly during the Presentation of Accomplishments of the Peace, Law Enforcement, and Development Support (PLEDS) Cluster.
This initiative forms part of the government’s Whole-of-Nation Approach to ending local communist armed conflict, as mandated by Executive Order No. 70, which institutionalizes a coordinated and inclusive effort through the creation of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). Under EO 70, government agencies, including the DSWD, are directed to deliver responsive and harmonized services to conflict-affected and vulnerable communities, addressing the root causes of insurgency.
The DSWD’s intervention underscores its ongoing commitment to supporting peacebuilding, social healing, and the reintegration of former rebels into mainstream society
