The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga conducted its WiSupport – Wireless Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Information Caravan in Schools at the Province of Dinagat Islands on August 18-19, 2025 covering San Jose National High School, Dinagat School of Fisheries, and Cagdianao National High School.
WiSupport is a program that offers online and phone-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental health concerns. The caravan served as a platform to end stigma on mental health well-being, problems and illnesses and to encourage students to open up about their feelings and to assure them that help is always within reach.
Topics such as stress, anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention were discussed, underscoring the importance of early intervention and the availability of psychosocial support through the program. The Field Office’s WiSupport Caravan in Schools is part of its continuing effort to raise mental health awareness among the youth and provide safe spaces where they can seek guidance without fear or hesitation.
