The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), conducted a Ceremonial Check Turnover to three (3) SLP Associations and released Seed Capital Fund (SCF) to 25 SLP individuals on August 22, 2025 at Sitio Kapihan, Barangay Sering, Socorro, Surigao del Norte.
Among the recipients are Kapihan Bayanihan SLPA for the acquisition of one (1) tricab unit and two (2) motorcycles to support transport-related services, Kapihan Empowered Women SLPA for rice and agrivet supplies trading, creating opportunities for women-led enterprise in the community, and Kapihan Integrated Micro-entrepreneurs SLPA for agricultural products buy-and-sell, helping local farmers access markets and generate additional income.
Meanwhile, 25 individual participants each received Php15,000 as Seed Capital Fund to strengthen and expand their small businesses.
