The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga paid a courtesy visit to Vice Mayor Zenaida Lim of Santiago, Agusan del Norte, on August 12, 2025.
Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, together with Disaster Response Management Division Chief Aldie Mae Andoy and other staff, discussed the importance of establishing a municipal warehouse to allow the Field Office to preposition relief items. This proactive measure aims to ensure a faster and more efficient disaster response in the event of emergencies.
Vice Mayor Lim immediately expressed her support for the initiative, commending the Office’s foresight in advocating for a facility that would benefit both Santiago residents and neighboring municipalities.

Director Dollaga also briefed the Vice Mayor on the upcoming Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program’s (4Ps) Katumanan Program in December, a graduation ceremony for beneficiaries assessed to have reached a self-sufficient level of well-being.
The visit also included an inspection of the municipality’s multi-purpose evacuation facility, Santiago’s Haven Center Evacuation, as well as its designated warehouse where the relief items may soon be stored.

Field Office Caraga continues to maximize its proactive measures to strategically preposition relief goods across the region, in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive for “Buong Bansa Handa”, ensuring that no Filipino is left hungry, especially during times of disaster.
