The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga in parternship with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cagdianao, is conducting a three-day training workshop on the Local Development Plan for Children (LDPC) starting today August 13, to 15, 2025, at the Cagdianao Cultural and Sports Center.
The training, headed by DSWD Caraga’s Senior Specialist for Children Sector, Mr. Raffy Vigil and RCWC Caraga’s Ms. Krysta Ryedel Antoni-De Jose, aims to equip members of the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) and representatives from 14 Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPCs) with the skills to craft the municipality’s LDPC for 2026–2028.
By developing this child-focused program, the local government of Cagdianao is taking a proactive approach to addressing the needs of its young constituents, ensuring their rights to survival, development, protection, and participation are upheld.
This acitivty demonstrates DSWD Caraga’s continued support to local government units (LGUs) in enhancing governance and service delivery.
