The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), successfully held the Roll-out Training on PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) 2025 Implementation alongside a capacity-building session on Enhanced Customer Service cum Non-Violent Communication on August 28-29, 2025 at VCDU Prince Hotel, Butuan City.The two-part training aimed to prepare 40 field implementers for the effective rollout of PAMANA 2025 while strengthening their communication and client relations skills.
The first day focused on the PAMANA 2025 Implementation Guidelines, where participants were oriented on updated processes, operational standards, and strategies to ensure the smooth delivery of livelihood support to conflict-affected and vulnerable communities. Workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions highlighted accountability, transparency, and community engagement.
While on the second day, Enhanced Customer Service and Non-Violent Communication was disccused, equipping participants with practical tools to improve client interaction, foster empathy, and manage conflict through constructive dialogue. The session underscore the importance of respectful communication in building trust and ensuring effective program implementation.
In his message, Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Jean Paul Parajes stressed the importance of the activity: “This is essential as we continue to serve communities, especially those in conflict-affected and vulnerable areas, under the PAMANA framework. Let this orientation remind us that sustainable development is not only built on resources or livelihood projects, but also on the quality of our relationships with our stakeholders, our beneficiaries, and with one another. When we communicate with respect and understanding, we build bridges of peace and cooperation that will sustain our collective efforts for inclusive growth”.
The training concluded with participants affirming their commitment to applying both technical and communication skills as they prepare for the full-scale implementation of PAMANA 2025.
