MAKATI CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Surigao del Sur presented its key accomplishments in advancing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Consultation and Planning Workshop held on September 2–5, 2025, at Berjaya Hotel, Makati City.
The workshop gathered Provincial Links, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officers, and City Social Welfare and Development Officers from highly urbanized cities to establish standardized exit protocols for 4Ps beneficiaries and assess existing DSWD–DILG Joint Memorandum Circular tools essential to the program’s implementation.
Surigao del Sur PSWDO Hershe Nuñez was among the selected presenters nationwide. She reported that the province has completed its Provincial Action Plan and city and municipal intervention plans, secured 100 percent adoption of ordinances and resolutions prioritizing exited and graduated households, and mobilized 19 local government units in partnership with civil society organizations, national agencies, and other partners.Nuñez also cited nearly ₱20 million worth of investments in 2025 for the welfare and empowerment of 4Ps families.

In her presentation, Nuñez expressed her appreciation to DSWD Caraga for being a consistent partner to the PLGU of Surigao.

DSWD Field Office Caraga, through the 4Ps Regional Program Management Office (RPMO), reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining partnerships with LGUs and stakeholders to ensure no 4Ps family is left behind.
