The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the 4Ps Regional Program Management Office (RPMO), visited Barangay Maug in Butuan City on September 3, 2025, during the conduct of a Family Development Session (FDS).
The Family Development Session is a monthly activity under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and one of the program’s conditionalities. The RPMO team, led by Ms. Crislea Celeste, Regional Program Coordinator, together with Ms. Analiza Navia, FDS focal, and Ms. Elvie Mae Bagaipo-Edubas, IP focal, conducted a monitoring visit of the session.

Barangay Chairperson Hon. Michael Duro welcomed participants at the start of the activity. He expressed his humble request to the 4Ps beneficiaries in attendance for their active participation not just in Family Development Sessions, but also during barangay-led initiatives.
“Ang ako lang, isip Punong Barangay, kung nay mga kalihukan nga kinahanglan mo nga ma involve, mangayo ko og suporta sa inyo. …So gikinahanglan gyud nga aside sa inyong FDS, naa pud mo’y involvement sa atong barangay,” Hon. Duro said.

Ms. Jenny Ybañez, the Barangay’s assigned Municipal Link (ML), led the Family Development Session on the topic of mental health awareness. Twenty-four (24) 4Ps beneficiaries attended. Ms. Cyren Reboldad, SWO III of Agusan del Norte, as well as Ms. Christine Mission, Team A and Team B leader for Butuan City, assisted during the activity.
The monitoring visit aimed to observe how implementers conduct this major program component and to ensure quality service delivery to beneficiaries, reflecting the program’s continuous pursuit of excellence.
