On September 17, 2025, DSWD Field Office Caraga through SLP Field Staff in Surigao del Sur conducted an SLP orientation to Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Lianga District Jail.

The activity aimed to provide a clearer understanding of the program’s objectives, processes, and expected outcomes, thereby strengthening collaboration with our valued partner agency and in response to the written request of the District Jail Warden.

After the orientation, an initial assessment with the two Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) was also commenced as part of the preparatory steps for program implementation.

The active engagement of the BJMP staff was commendable, as issues and concerns raised during the session were constructively discussed and appropriately addressed by both parties.
