The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga led a tree growing activity this morning in Barangay Anahawan, Municipality of Carmen, Agusan del Norte, as part of the National Filipino Family Week celebration.
A total of 115 members of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Filipino Families (RIAC-FF) participated in the initiative, reflecting the collective commitment to “plant and grow today for a greener, healthier future for Filipino families.”
The activity highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship as a shared family and community responsibility—emphasizing that nurturing the environment also means nurturing the well-being and resilience of families for generations to come.
The weeklong celebration of the National Filipino Family Week runs from September 22 to 27, 2025, carrying the nationwide call to strengthen family unity, uphold Filipino values, and promote sustainable practices that benefit both people and the planet.
Through initiatives like this, DSWD Caraga and its RIAC-FF partners reaffirm their dedication to fostering stronger, healthier, and more resilient Filipino families.
