The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in partnership with the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), conducted the third quarter Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC) payout for octogenarian and nonagenarian beneficiaries on September 13  at SM City Butuan Events Center.
Some 24 senior citizens will each receive ₱3,000 for the 3rd quarter of 2025 to support their daily subsistence and medical needs. DSWD FO Caraga is also attending to inquiries on SPISC and other programs and services.
This activity is part of the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” caravan, promoting President Marcos Jr.’s vision of a Bagong Pilipinas na walang nagugutom at walang naiiwanan, kung saan sa kaarawan ng Pangulo, bida ang bawat Pilipino.
The DSWD Field Office Caraga extend gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Butuan City and the Regional Advisory Body for Senior Citizens (RAB-SC), chaired by the NCSC and all partners for their support in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of services.
As of 2025, the DSWD Field Office Caraga Regional Social Pension Unit caters to 184,700 eligible senior citizens under the SPISC Program.
