To strengthen their capacity in managing sustainable livelihood projects, the Bongan 4Ps SLPA of Barangay Bongan, Lingig, and the Balite Pantawid SLPA of Sitio Balite, San Jose, Bislig City, conducted a learning visit to Lambo San Jose SLPA in Barangay San Jose, Barobo, Surigao del Sur on September 5, 2025.
The activity, dubbed Lakbay Kabuhayan, provided the visiting associations with hands-on exposure to the practical operations of a successful livelihood project.
Bongan 4Ps SLPA is preparing to embark on a Superstore project, while Balite Pantawid SLPA, which previously managed a rice and agrivet supply business, has recently transitioned to operating a general merchandise store.
Serving as their model, Lambo San Jose SLPA has been operating its Superstore since May 2025 and has diversified its sources of income through pig-raising and a Piso Wi-Fi business. The association’s well-built facilities, systematic operations, and organized record-keeping showcased effective practices that other SLPAs can emulate.
