Gender mainstreaming strategies of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) are aligned with the Philippine government’s primary effort to alleviate poverty, especially among the most vulnerable sectors of society, including women, children, and poor families. Since women are disproportionately affected by poverty and social inequities, integrating Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives into the program is crucial for making 4Ps gender-responsive and equitable.
The training was divided into five (5) modules, with a simulation workshop after completion of all modules. The topics covered are Gender Matters, The Personal is Political, Gender-Fair Language, GRCM Concepts, Perspectives, and Principles, and Phases in GRCM. These were presented by resource speakers from the 4Ps Regional Program Management Office (RPMO).
