The Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga kicked-off the three-day Project Implementation Review (PIR) today, September 17, 2025, held at the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City.
The event gathered key partners and stakeholders, including representatives from the Local Government Unit of Butuan City, Surigao del Norte State University–Del Carmen Campus, Caraga State University–Main Campus, the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Butuan City, DepEd Division of Siargao (Dapa West District, Dapa East District, and General Luna District), as well as parents, tutors, youth development workers, and staff from the regional and national program management offices of the program.
The review aims to assess the effectiveness and impact of the recently concluded tutoring initiative, provide a platform for stakeholders to share insights and best practices, and identify areas for improvement in future implementation.
The PIR is expected to generate recommendations to enhance learning sessions, mentorship support, and Nanay-Tatay activities, while also serving as a benchmark for the possible expansion and replication of the program across the Caraga Region.
