The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the DSWD Field Office Caraga convened its civil society organization (CSO) partners in a two-day Knowledge Sharing Session on September 29–30, 2025, at the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City.

The activity aimed to exchange insights and strengthen collaboration in the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). Attending CSOs include Destiny Ministry International, Surigao del Norte State University (SDNSU), Loving Presence Foundation, among others.

Discussions on the first day focused on the 4Ps Act, program implementation updates, and the Revised Regional Interim Guidelines for Volunteer CSO Engagement. A session on the status of gender-based violence (GBV) in the Caraga Region was presented by Mr. Ronald Lisayan, DBA, of Friendship Goals Society. CSO partners also reported their accomplishments and services in support of Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries.

On the second day, Mr. Karl Lemuel Serrano, Information Technology Officer I and Special Investigator of the Legal Service Section, Office of the Regional Director of DSWD Caraga, facilitated a session on parliamentary rules and procedures. Workshops on commitment-setting and action planning were also conducted.

This Knowledge Sharing Session underscored the indispensable contribution of CSOs in ensuring that the 4Ps remains responsive, inclusive, and empowering for the most vulnerable families in Caraga. With strengthened partnerships, the program continues its mission of uplifting lives and building resilient communities.

Republic Act No. 11310 or the 4Ps Act, which was launched in 2008 and formally institutionalized in 2019, serves as the country’s primary poverty alleviation strategy and human capital investment initiative. It grants conditional cash assistance to qualified poor households for up to seven (7) years, aiming to enhance their health, nutrition, and education.
