The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), successfully conducted the 1st Batch of Roll-Out Training on the Enhanced Social Welfare and Development Indicator (SWDI) Tool for 345 City/Municipal Links (C/MLs) assigned in Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur held on October 21–24, 2025, at Amontay Beach Resort, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the learning sessions, participants were organized into seven (7) classes, each averaging 50 participants. The sessions were facilitated by trained 4Ps RPMO staff, SWO III, Designated Cluster Links, and Provincial Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, who served as resource persons.
This initiative, aligned with the directive of DSWD Secretary Rex Gachalian, aims to strengthen the implementation of the enhanced SWDI across all field offices. The training capacitated the C/MLs with the knowledge and skills to accurately administer the enhanced SWDI tool for improved case management and household assessment.

The SWDI serves as a vital case management tool under the 4Ps, designed to measure changes in the economic and social well-being of beneficiary households. With the enhanced version, the Department can now deliver a more comprehensive and holistic assessment, enabling the identification of household needs, monitoring of progress, and design of responsive and sustainable interventions that promote resilience, empowerment, and self-sufficiency among 4Ps families.
