
BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through its Disaster Response Management Team, continues to provide relief assistance to families affected by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Manay, Davao Oriental, and was also felt in several parts of the Caraga Region.
As of this posting, October 11, 2025, 26 additional family food packs (FFPs) have been distributed to affected households in Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur, while 85 FFPs were provided to families in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
In total, 678 earthquake-affected families across the Caraga Region have already received food assistance from DSWD.

Assessment and validation activities are ongoing as local government units, in coordination with DSWD, continue to determine emerging needs and identify families requiring further assistance.
Meanwhile, the third shift of the DSWD Field Office Caraga Quick Response Team (QRT) remains on active duty under the guidance of Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga and in line with the directive of Secretary Rex Gatchalian, maintaining close coordination with concerned LGUs and partner agencies to ensure timely, efficient, and well-coordinated response efforts in affected areas.
