As of 7:00 PM today, October 10, 2025, the Mobile Command Center (MCC) and Mobile Kitchen (MK) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga are en route to the local government unit (LGU) of Trento, Agusan del Sur.
These mobile facilities play a crucial role in ensuring an organized and efficient disaster response following the magnitude 7.6 earthquake that struck Davao Oriental. The strong tremor was also felt across the Caraga Region, resulting in reported damage and triggering strong aftershocks.

The Mobile Command Center will serve as an on-site coordination hub, facilitating real-time communication, rapid decision-making, and efficient information flow among response teams. Meanwhile, the Mobile Kitchen will be deployed to provide immediate and continuous hot meals to affected families and response personnel.
The deployment of these assets to Trento, Agusan del Sur is strategic, as the province is among the areas closest to the earthquake’s epicenter where tremors were strongly felt. The MCC and MK will remain on standby to support the LGU’s ongoing response operations and to ensure that basic needs and emergency coordination are promptly addressed.
