Eighteen trucks carrying 30,000 Family Food Packs (FFPs) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga are now en route to the Davao Region to provide essential food assistance to communities severely affected by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck last Friday, October 11.

Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, along with the Disaster Response Team, is overseeing the smooth and timely transportation of relief goods, in line with the directive of Secretary Rex Gatchalian. The initiative follows instructions from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure that no one is left hungry in the aftermath of the disaster.

This operation highlights DSWD’s commitment to the enduring bayanihan spirit of Filipinos—a compassion that transcends boundaries and unites communities in times of need.
