The Culmination Activity of the 33rd National Children’s Month (NCM) in the Caraga Region was successfully held on November 26, 2025, at the SM City Butuan Events Center, emphasizing the meaningful theme:
“End OSAEC-CSAEM: Fight for Children’s Safety and Rights.”
As the month-long celebration concluded, members of the Regional Committee for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) Caraga strongly called for the eradication of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and the proliferation of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).
The program opened with a welcome message from Jessie Catherine B. Aranas, Chief of the Protective Services Division, DSWD Field Office Caraga, followed by an inspiring keynote speech delivered by Atty. Ingrid Trixia E. Rullon-Nastor, Regional Director of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Caraga.
The event also recognized individuals and organizations that have shown outstanding support for the rights and welfare of children. Partners who made significant contributions to the celebration of NCM 2025 were honored through the Makabatang Modelo Partners Award. Local councils were likewise acknowledged, with Butuan City receiving the distinction as the most functional Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) in the region during the LCPC Functionality Awarding Ceremony. Members of the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (RITMF) Caraga were also commended for their efforts in monitoring youth programs.
The celebration concluded with a closing message from Mr. John Emmanuel Santos, the current Little Executive Director of the Caraga Children Advocates Network (Caraga C.A.N.), encouraging everyone to continue protecting the safety and rights of children.
