Caraga Region’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps Exemplary Children and Child with Disability were recognised and awarded today, together with the 4Ps Exemplary Children from the various regions in the country during the 4Ps National Children’s Congress 2025 Awarding Ceremony, held at Sequoia Hotel, Quezon City earlier today, November 20, 2025.

Stephen Rojo of Tagbina, Surigao del Sur was awarded as Caraga’s Regional Exemplary Child, together with the Provincial Exemplary Children Rhenier Pacanor of Surigao del Norte, Jea-Ann Mae Campos of the Province of Dinagat Islands, Aaron Kim Paragoso of Agusan del Norte and Gia Tuga-on of Agusan del Sur.

Leading the team was the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, showing her pride and support for Caraga’s Exemplary Children.
During his message, DSWD Secretary Rex Gachalian spoke about how he believes that 4Ps is the best child protection mechanism in the country.

“Kaya nga pag pinag usapan natin ano ang pinaka magandang child protection na mekanismo sa Pilipinas? Ako, taas noo kong sinasabi 4Ps ang pinakamagandang child protection na mekanismo sa ating bansa. Kasi maski papaano pantay pantay. Natutulungan tayong makipag sabayan sa mga batang mas galing sa pamilyang may kaya.”

The awarding ceremony served as the culmination of the four-day workshop which gathered provincial and regional winners from the National Search for Exemplary Children. The participants engaged in activities that developed leadership and strengthened policy making among 4Ps children nationwide.

The 4Ps Exemplary Children also conducted learning visits to the Senate of the Philippines and the National Museum of Anthropology.

The 4Ps National Children’s Congress is an annual event that marks a significant step in recognizing the achievements and potential of young Filipinos, inspiring others to contribute to the betterment of their communities.
