The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga capped off this year’s celebration of children with a day full of laughter, learning, and memorable experiences as the Protective Services Division (PSD) hosted Children’s Day 2025 at the Watergate at the Pavilion.
PSD Chief Jessie Catherine Aranas welcomed parents and children with a cheerful message:
“Magkuyog Kita Karon—Mag-Enjoy Ta Para sa Atong Mga Bata! Celebrating Children with Joy, Safety, and Surprises!”
The day was packed with exciting activities that combined fun with learning. The Bureau of Fire Protection–Caraga transformed children into “little heroes” by teaching fire safety and basic life support skills, showing that preparedness can be engaging and entertaining.
The crowd was further energized by a lively intermission performance from residents of the Home For Girls (HFG), followed by a magic show, clown performance, and even a surprise visit from Mickey Mouse, sparking wide smiles across the venue.
Children also explored interactive stations that offered both fun and educational experiences:
-
Reading Games – Tara Basa Tutoring Program
-
Storytelling – Commission on Human Rights (CHR)
-
Expressive Arts – DSWD HRMDD
-
Fun Games – DSWD PSD
-
Fire Drill & Basic Life Support – BFP Caraga
Sweet treats, snacks, and loot bags were enjoyed by all before the program concluded with special awards and closing messages, ending the day on a high note full of color, laughter, and inspiration.
Children’s Day 2025 once again highlighted DSWD Caraga’s dedication to creating safe, joyful, and empowering spaces for children across the region, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to promoting the welfare, rights, and holistic development of every child.
