In celebration of National Children’s Month 2025, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, as Chair of the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children (RCWC), conducted Project BAHANDI (Bringing Aspiration and Hope As we Nurture and Develop Young Individuals) for children in residential care facilities, November 11, 2025.
The activity was held at GESU Eucaristico Children’s Inc. (GECI) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Butuan City, where the team distributed school supplies, food items, and gift boxes to the children.
Adding color and excitement to the celebration, General Amante, the mascot of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Agusan del Norte, also joined the activity, delighting the children and promoting positive values.Project BAHANDI aims to bring joy, hope, and support to children under institutional care while promoting their welfare and development in line with the goals of National Children’s Month.
