The Provincial Operations Office of Agusan del Norte successfully conducted the first Provincial Katumanan in Caraga on November 20, 2025, at SM City Butuan. This milestone activity honors the triumph of 4Ps families who have worked diligently to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and have now achieved the self-sufficiency level of well-being.

The event was attended by DSWD Field Office Caraga 4Ps Division Chief, Crislea D. Celeste, POO-ADN Provincial Link, Ruth Tambura, Provincial Administrator Elizabeth Calo, PSWDO Representative Mr. Alfer Rey Fuentes, Deped ADN Representative Geralin Dompor, PDOH Representatives Ida Murriel Tayong and Camielle June Torralba.

On behalf of Provincial Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante, Provincial Administrator Elizabeth Calo delivered a message of recognition, emphasizing the significance of the event not only for the families but for the entire province.

“This is a complimenting effort of the province of Agusan del Norte by giving provincial level of recognition to families who have significantly improved their level of well-being. We believe your achievement deserves to be celebrated not only at the municipal or city level but at the provincial level as well. Your progress is not just a personal victory, it is a victory for the entire province.”

Crislea Celeste, Division Chief of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the 4Ps graduates for reaching this meaningful milestone. “Tuloy ang laban na we pray na sa sulod sa taas na katuigan,16 years, nag ampo ni hangtom namo, enough na nga musugakod mo na wala mi. Mao bitawng gitawag ug Katumanan kay dili na ninyo kinahanglan ang 4Ps but it doesn’t make you any less of a regular citizen of this nation. Ang hangyo namo na dili masayang ang pila ka tuigan na nag uban ta, nag kat on ta together na kung muatubang mo ug mga bag o na problema sa kinabuhi, kaya ninyo na atubangon na wala mi. Mamahimo na mong instrumento sa pagbag-o pod sa uban,”.

Through the Province of Agusan del Norte, each household received congratulatory gifts, including a certificate of recognition and a 5-kilogram sack of rice, as tokens of appreciation for their graduation from the program.

The Provincial Katumanan marked not only the culmination of the beneficiaries’ years-long journey under the 4Ps but also the beginning of a new chapter, where families continue their path toward sustained progress, dignity, and empowerment.
