The SIBYA Campaign is a regionally conceptualized communication strategy initiated by DSWD FO Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga. It aims to bridge local information gaps and enhance public awareness of the Department’s programs, services, and initiatives within communities.
As part of the initiative, the caravan also introduced the Tamang Tulong sa Tamang Impormasyon (3Ti) Campaign, an advocacy designed to combat and mitigate the spread of fake news and misinformation.
The activity began with a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Tago, Surigao del Sur, Hon. Jelio Val Laurente.
The activity primarily benefited the Child Development Workers (CDWs), solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWDs) who play crucial roles in cascading accurate information within their respective communities. Participants actively engaged in the discussion during the open forum by raising questions and sharing their insights in the department’s various programs and services.
“Dako akong pagpasalamat sa inyong opportunity nga gihatag sa amo na diin damo gud among nakat’unan kabahin ani nga inyong gipaabot nga mga information. Ako ini ipaabot sa among barangay. Gipalabi ko ini siya para usab dugang pahibalo ug dugang alam sa among barangay officials iban sa among kaubanan sa among barangay workers. Daghang salamat!” said Ednaflor Salguero, one of the participants.
The DSWD Caraga extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tago and its communities for their active participation and acceptance of the campaign.
