The Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program (TBTP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga led a coordination meeting with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Siargao on November 18–19, 2025.
TBTP Caraga Regional Program Coordinator Jovy Dela Cruz presented an overview of the program to representatives from the two agencies and shared comprehensive data gathered from an extensive profiling initiative conducted using the modern Profiling and Updating Tool.
This tool collects important information such as family and educational background, as well as demographic data. By consolidating these data, it helps identify vulnerable sectors that can be referred to various government programs or services for additional support.
The meeting aimed to establish clear and efficient referral pathways to connect interested beneficiaries to labor-related programs and training offered by DOLE and TESDA. Both agencies also shared information about their services, clarified the referral process, and discussed strengthened collaboration to better address community needs.
Through this coordination meeting, TBTP Caraga further reinforced its engagement with various agencies to enhance service delivery and ensure that beneficiaries continue to have access to other programs and support that can assist them.
