Volunteers in action during FFP replenishment in PDI and Siargao.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga is replenishing family food packs (FFPs) in the island warehouses of the Province of Dinagat Islands and Siargao Island this week.
The replenishment follows the distribution of prepositioned FFPs to families affected by the recent typhoon, which nearly exhausted available supplies due to continuous relief operations.
As of today, 10,445 FFPs are prepositioned in Dinagat Islands, while 10,900 FFPs are stocked in Siargao Island warehouses situated in key municipalities with designated storage facilities.
The initiative is part of the Department’s disaster preparedness and response efforts to ensure prompt assistance to affected communities and prevent hunger during emergencies, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
