DINAGAT ISLANDS – As of December 12, 2025, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga has provided Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) assistance to a total of 6,685 beneficiaries in the Province of Dinagat Islands who were affected by Typhoon Tino.
Among the beneficiaries, 5,971 families have slightly damaged houses, receiving Php 5,232 each, while 715 families with severely damaged houses received Php 10,137 each.
This week, DSWD Caraga will conduct a special payout for families who were previously unable to claim their assistance.
The ECT program, activated following a calamity declaration, offers unconditional cash aid to disaster-affected families. The assistance allows recipients to purchase food, medicine, and repair materials, bridging the gap between immediate relief and early recovery while giving families the flexibility to address their most urgent needs.
The department continues to ensure timely and effective support to help communities recover and rebuild in the aftermath of Tyhpoon Tino.
