The Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program (TBTP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga took part in a Christmas outreach organized by Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF)–Butuan City for the children of the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) Lingap Center in Butuan City on December 13, 2025.
The TBTP distributed 48 learning kits, each containing essential educational supplies, including paper, pencils, crayons, erasers, and sharpeners. In addition, the children also received gifts and meals from CCF Butuan City, providing both educational support and meaningful moments of joy during the holiday season.
Lingap Center provides a safe and protective environment for children in need of special protection, including those who have experienced abandonment, neglect, or abuse.
The provision of learning kits supports DSWD Caraga’s continuing “No Children Left Behind” advocacy, which aims to promote inclusive learning support not only for struggling or non-reading learners but also for children in vulnerable settings.
DSWD Caraga remains committed to strengthening partnerships with faith-based organizations, local government units, and other stakeholders to reach more children across the region and ensure sustained support for their learning, protection, and overall well-being.
