More than 300 products from the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga are on display at Robinsons Butuan. This comes after the successful launch of ALUNSINA: Kabuhayan Convention and Bazaar today, December 1, 2025.Representing the five provinces of Caraga Region, various products from food items to unique handicrafts will be showcased starting today until Thursday, December 4, 2025.
In her opening message, Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga expressed pride in the products crafted by SLP associations and individual participants in the region.
“We want to showcase their products, from handicrafts to processed foods and other locally made items. All of these are made by our talented, creative, and hardworking SLP participants. I am truly proud of every product we see here. As of today, we have an operational rate of 81.3%, surpassing the 74.4% national success rate. This is a victory for us because these numbers are not just statistics, they are proof that the livelihoods we support are alive, running, and continuously growing,” Dollaga said.
Assistant Regional Director for Operations Jean Paul Parajes also expressed optimism that the event will open new opportunities for SLP associations and individuals.
“For our SLP participants, this event is for you. We hope that ALUNSINA will open new door, new customers, new partners, and new opportunities. Continue striving toward your goals with passion,” he added.
A fashion show was also held, featuring selected SLP products such as accessories, bags, hablon, and other locally crafted pieces.
SLP is a program of the DSWD that aims to provide livelihood, support, and opportunities to poor and vulnerable sectors, enabling them to achieve sustainable sources of income.
