Barbie Geconcillo and Maria Myra Mae España, both tutors of the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga were hired-on-the-spot (HOTS) during the 92nd DOLE Anniversary Job Fair yesterday, December 1, 2025, at Robinsons Place Butuan City.
Geconcillo was hired as a Medical Sales Representative, while España, a fresh graduate, was recruited as a Medical Sales Merchandiser. Both are employed by the same Butuan-based company. They likewise commended the efforts of TBTP Caraga personnel and expressed their appreciation for the program.
“Thank you for believing in me, helping me, and guiding me throughout my Job Fair experience until I landed my dream job. Your dedication and expertise have made a lasting impact on my life. Forever grateful!” said Geconcillo in an interview.
“I got hired on the spot for my dream job! My heart’s overflowing with gratitude, especially to TBTP of DSWD, your support and guidance during the hiring process were invaluable,” España stated.
The two were endorsed by TBTP Caraga to DOLE Caraga and were assisted throughout the Job Fair. They were identified through the program’s enhanced profiling tool, which determines beneficiaries who need additional support. This tool guides the selection of appropriate interventions, including skills development, livelihood assistance, and other services from partner government agencies.
Around 30 more endorsed TBTP tutors and Youth Development Workers who missed yesterday’s activity are now set to participate in DOLE’s upcoming Job Fair in January 2026. This stems from TBTP Caraga’s sustained efforts to establish partnerships with government agencies and institutions, ensuring that beneficiaries gain access to valuable interventions, including opportunities for employment and skills development.
