The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga through the Policy and Plans Division (PPD)- Standards Section hold its 2nd Semester Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNET) Meeting on October 3, 2025, at MSC Center for the Poor, Butuan City.
The meeting convened registered, licensed, and accredited Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) along with Standards Section of Field Office, headed by Officer-in-Charge Division Chief (OIC-DC) Elsa A. Jamora. The meeting was presided by Fr. Ronnie Licayan, the Regional ABSNET Chairperson from Por Cristo Foundation, Inc.
Key highlights of the meeting included the presentation of Semestral Accomplishments, Organization Updates, and an Open Forum to discuss relevant issues and insights.
As part of the activity, a workshop about Planning of the Next Semester’s Activities and Identification of Capacity Building was provided by the SWDAs with the support of the PPD-Standards Section Staff.
The Regional ABSNET is a partnership mechanism organized by the DSWD that brings together registered, licensed, and accredited SWDAs. It serves as a support network to strengthen collaboration, promote compliance with standards, and enhance delivery of social welfare development programs and services.
