As part of efforts to ensure the functionality and sustainability of livelihood projects, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), through its assigned field staff PDO Jose Lee Montero, conducted an inspection of the proposed water system of the Mabungahon Umalag SLP Association (SLPA) in Barangay Umalag, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur on January 27, 2026.
The on-site inspection aimed to identify potential issues and determine the necessary improvements to ensure a reliable and sustainable water supply for the association’s existing community garden.
The construction of the water system will be funded through the grant incentive received by the association under the Product Diversification Advancement Grant (PDAG), through which the Mabungahon Umalag SLPA was awarded an additional ₱100,000.00 to support the enhancement and sustainability of their livelihood initiatives.
Following the assessment, the Mabungahon Umalag SLPA is set to purchase the required materials and equipment needed for the construction of the water system.
