Two Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga received additional funding through the Product Diversification Advancement Grant (PDAG) to support the expansion and sustainability of their livelihood enterprises on January 16, 2026.
The turnover ceremony was graced by Municipal Mayor Apolonio Lozada, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Marevic Maundo, and DSWD-SLP staff.
The La Paz Mabuhay SLP Association and La Paz United SLP Association, both based in the municipality of Bayabas, Surigao del Sur, were each granted ₱100,000.00 to further diversify and strengthen their businesses. La Paz Mabuhay SLPA initially engaged in hog raising and has since expanded into Agrivet supply, while La Paz United SLPA transitioned from a general merchandise business to Agrivet retail.
The project turnover coincided with the celebration of the two associations’ 2nd anniversary. The event also featured the oath-taking of newly elected officers of La Paz United SLPA and the distribution of a total of ₱50,000.00 in profit sharing among members.
The PDAG is an incentive grant awarded to SLPAs that have demonstrated strong organizational performance, sustainability, and compliance with the SLP Sustainability Plan for two consecutive years.
