The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), convened a coordination meeting with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga on February 24, 2026, at the DICT Regional Office in Butuan City to strengthen the implementation of the JuanSIM ng Bayan – Bayanihan SIM Project.
The meeting followed the successful distribution of SIM cards to 60 public schools across the region. The next phase will focus on identified secondary beneficiaries, particularly 4Ps households in Unserved and Underserved Areas (UUAs).
Both agencies aligned schedules and operational procedures to ensure efficient rollout at the provincial and municipal levels. SIM cards will be distributed to pre-identified UUAs in Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur in the second week of March 2026.
The initiative aims to improve digital connectivity of 4Ps families, enhancing access to online services and government platforms through strengthened inter-agency collaboration.
