The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga Quick Response Team (QRT) continues its 24/7 monitoring of communities affected by the shear line across the region.
As of 4:00 PM today, February 22, 2026, a total of 16,008 families—majority from Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur—remain in evacuation centers, while others are temporarily displaced from their homes. To date, DSWD Field Office Caraga has provided 38,191 Family Food Packs (FFPs) to local government units (LGUs) requesting augmentation support. QRT Team 8 is currently on duty to sustain monitoring and coordinate ongoing response operations.
In Agusan del Sur, augmentation assistance continues. In Prosperidad, 803 FFPs were distributed in Barangay Aurora and 1,300 FFPs in Barangay Lucena. In Sta. Josefa, 2,100 FFPs were delivered to affected families as part of ongoing relief efforts.
Meanwhile, the first batch of augmentation to the Local Government Unit of Bislig City, consisting of 8,500 FFPs, was successfully delivered to support 23,651 affected families. The augmentation reinforces local resources to ensure timely and sufficient food assistance while response operations remain ongoing.
DSWD Field Office Caraga remains on high alert and in close coordination with LGUs and partner agencies to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of assistance to affected communities.
