The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through its Policy and Plans Division – Standards Section, strengthened its partnership with the Local Chief Executive of Bislig City through a consultation dialogue on Lingap Center accreditation compliance held today, February 19, 2026, in Bislig City.
The dialogue gathered key officials and stakeholders, including Hon. Mayor Florencio Garay, CSWD Officer Mr. Grover Viduya, Standards Section Head Mr. Renante Abendanio and his team, as well as a representative from the Engineering Department. The meeting highlighted the collaborative efforts between DSWD FO Caraga and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bislig.
The primary objective of the consultation was to secure the commitment of the Local Chief Executive in ensuring full compliance with the requirements for the accreditation of the Lingap Center located in Brgy. Tabon, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
Accreditation is a vital process that guarantees that social welfare facilities meet established standards in delivering quality care and protection services to vulnerable individuals and families.
During the dialogue, discussions focused on aligning local initiatives with national standards, addressing compliance gaps, and reinforcing the shared responsibility of both the LGU and DSWD FO Caraga in upholding the welfare of the community. The presence of representatives from various offices emphasized a whole-of-government approach in supporting the accreditation process.
