Beneficiaries of the Pag-abot Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga from the Mamanwa Tribe in Barangay Mahayahay, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte underwent a Financial Literacy Training on March 3, 2026.

A total of 35 participants joined the training, including 18 primary beneficiaries of the program and 17 other residents from the said barangay.

The training aimed to enhance the beneficiaries’ knowledge on effective budget management and proper financial planning in preparation for the livelihood assistance that will be provided through the program.

The activity was led by Pag-abot Program Caraga Regional Program Coordinator Reysthy Gundaya together with other personnel from the program’s Regional Program Management Office.

Through this initiative, beneficiaries are expected to further strengthen their capacity to properly manage their resources and sustain their livelihoods in the future.
