The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, led by Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, together with Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Regional Program Coordinator Reynard Roi Cabusao, conducted a consultative meeting with the 401st Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army at its headquarters in Brgy. Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
Present during the meeting were Executive Officer Col. Reynald Romel Goce and Acting Commander Col. Glenn Joy Aynera, along with representatives from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU)–Caraga and Peace and Development–Buong Bansa Mapayapa (PDBBM).
The discussion focused on strengthening the implementation of Local Government Unit (LGU)-led PAMANA projects, particularly livelihood interventions. Key strategies were identified to accelerate project rollout, enhance inter-agency coordination, and ensure timely and sustainable support to communities, especially those in geographically isolated and conflict-affected areas.
The 401st Infantry Brigade expressed its commitment to support the initiative by assisting in the organization of PAMANA Livelihood Program Associations (PLPAs), facilitating the ratification of by-laws, and providing logistical support.
The PAMANA (Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan) program is a flagship initiative of the government that aims to promote peace, rehabilitation, and inclusive development in conflict-affected and vulnerable communities.
