The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga concluded its two-day Disaster Response Operations Management, Information and Communication (DROMIC) reporting workshop for its Quick Response Team (QRT) members.

Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Jean Paul Parajes lauded the dedication of the QRT members during his closing message, emphasizing their vital role in disaster response.

“Quick Response Team, the commitment you have shown throughout this workshop reflects your dedication to uphold the mission of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Caraga: to protect and uplift the most vulnerable, especially in times of disaster,” Parajes said.

The workshop, which gathered QRT members of the field office, is a crucial step that aimed to strengthen participants’ competencies in DROMIC reporting, enhance data accuracy and timeliness, and improve coordination and information management during disaster response operations.

Through the activity, the agency continues to ensure that its frontline responders are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver efficient, responsive, and data-driven humanitarian assistance to affected communities.
