The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga continues the implementation of the second quarter payout for the Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens across the region, reaching thousands of eligible beneficiaries through payout activities in various barangays, municipalities, and cities.
Through the Transfer of Fund (TOF) scheme and the Special Disbursing Officers (SDOs), the agency continues to facilitate smooth payout activities while assisting beneficiaries and their authorized representatives during the claiming process.
Payout activities have already been successfully conducted in several areas throughout the Caraga Region.
In Agusan del Norte, payout activities were held in Butuan City, Santiago, Cabadbaran City, Jabonga, Kitcharao, Tubay, Magallanes, Remedios T. Romualdez (RTR), Nasipit, Buenavista, and Las Nieves.
For Agusan del Sur, payouts were conducted in Rosario, San Luis, Sta. Josefa, San Francisco, Bunawan, Talacogon, Trento, Loreto, Sibagat, Veruela, La Paz, Bayugan City, and Esperanza.
Meanwhile, in Surigao del Norte, beneficiaries from Sison, Gigaquit, Tubod, Pilar, Surigao City, Mainit, Taganaan, Gigaquit, Claver, Burgos, San Isidro, General Luna, Alegria, and Sta. Monica has already received their assistance.
In Surigao del Sur, payout operations were conducted in Tandag City, Bayabas, Cortes, Tago, San Miguel, Hinatuan, Bislig City, Placer, Marihatag, Cagwait, Lanuza, Carmen, Tagbina, and San Agustin.
For the Province of Dinagat Islands, payouts were conducted in the municipality of Dinagat and San Jose.
The payout operations were conducted in close coordination with local government units (LGUs), partner agencies, and other stakeholders to guarantee orderly, accessible, and efficient distribution of assistance throughout the region.
Senior citizens are likewise reminded to present the necessary identification documents and supporting requirements to avoid delays in receiving their grants.
The Social Pension Program remains one of the government’s key social protection initiatives for vulnerable senior citizens, providing monthly financial assistance aimed at augmenting their basic living and health-related expenses.
The ongoing implementation reflects the agency’s commitment to ensuring that indigent senior citizens receive timely financial assistance to support their daily subsistence and medical needs.
With the second quarter payout now halfway completed, DSWD Field Office Caraga assures the public that payout activities in the remaining areas and special payouts will continue in the succeeding weeks until all qualified beneficiaries in the region are served.
