The Pag-abot Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, together with the Butuan City Social Welfare and Development Department, conducted a reach-out operation yesterday, May 6, 2026.

During the operation, the team reached out to one child, five individuals in street situations, and one family composed of two members. Meanwhile, three individuals in street situations were also profiled as part of the program’s continuing assessment and intervention process.

The individuals were provided with appropriate care and were escorted by the reach-out team to ensure their safety and immediate return to their respective homes.

Also present during the activity was the Philippine National Police, which provided security and coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the operation.

The Pag-abot Program of DSWD Field Office Caraga, together with its partner agencies, continues to intensify activities aimed at protecting and providing appropriate interventions for individuals, children, and families in street situations. Through these efforts, the program hopes to help more beneficiaries safely reunite with their families and begin rebuilding safer and more stable lives.
