The Pag-abot Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga provided livelihood assistance to one of its beneficiaries in Alegria yesterday, May 20, 2026.

The assistance will be used to establish a small sari-sari store to provide the beneficiary with a stable source of livelihood.

DSWD emphasized that the assistance is not only a form of financial support, but also an opportunity to promote self-sufficiency and lessen dependence on social assistance in the future.

The said beneficiary was reintegrated to Alegria from Quezon City.

This livelihood assistance forms part of the Pag-abot Program’s efforts to help beneficiaries recover and rebuild their lives, while preventing them from returning to street situations.
